Kinesiology for Chronic Pain

“Remarkable!”

Kinesiology therapy can be incredibly effective on long-term and chronic pain, yielding vast results. Sometimes what is stopping your body from healing can be held deep within. Kinesiology can help give you access to the root cause, supporting your nervous system and your body’s natural ability to heal.

Case Study - unhealed fractured foot

Allison, 71, fractured her left foot, but 6 months later it had still not healed. She was still unable to bear weight on her foot or move around her home independently. She was in excruciating pain and therefore not sleeping well. Her foot was cold to the touch, purple, stiff and swollen. Her quality of life was completely impeded and she was miserable!

At the end of her first Kinesiology session she was blown away that she could visibly see and feel such a difference in her foot. The swelling was vastly reduced, the colouring returned to normal, the coldness gone and there was more flexibility in her foot. Even the positioning of her foot was different and when she got off the massage table she could bear some weight on it.

When I saw her again one week later, I asked how her foot was.

She said, “Remarkable! I can bend it up and down, side to side and I can bear weight on it evenly. About two days after our session, I could walk on it again! The difference is just incredible!”

This time period is quite usual for energy balancing. Changes can occur immediately after balancing or in the following days. In this case, we saw change both immediately and even more 24-48hours later.

How does a Kinesiologist achieve these results?

Kinesiology is very much about self healing so the work “we” do in my practice is very much a joint effort between client and practitioner. As a client, you are very much an active participant in the Kinesiology session and as a practitioner, I guide the way.

So using a Kinesiology technique known as muscle monitoring we determined the target areas to focus on and then we activated specific acupressure points and neural-lymphatic reflex points on Allison’s body. In this case what showed up particularly to balance was her Kidney and Bladder Meridians, which represent fear and anxiety (which the client was certainly experiencing). It can also directly affect the efficient functioning of these organs; so filtering blood (Kidneys) and removal of waste products (Bladder) from the body. Inefficient organ function can cause excessive strain on the body’s natural ability to heal. So after balancing these meridians and enhancing the lymphatic system we saw a dramatic difference in the client’s chronic pain.
